Jamie Versus Pigeon

  The Scales Tip
Jamie has a rather nasty sore throat.

Pigeon is notorious for spreading disease.

Coincidence? It seems unlikely.

  An Appeal For Peace
In a battle as glorious and as important as that which we see raging around us, it is to be expected that passions will rise. Those who swear allegiance to Jamie or to Pigeon will naturally seek to come to the aid of their champion, and so, inevitably, two factions will arise. To those who are inflamed with admiration for the one they follow, it may seem right and noble that they should go to war for their master.

But this is not a war. For war is an ugly thing, yet the Battle is beautiful.

And so, proud supporters, I must appeal to you most earnestly: let this battle remain between those who are destined to fight it. So let noone, however fiery his soul, strike a blow in aid of Jamie; and equally, let none seek to harm Jamie in support of his rival.

This affair is beyond the understanding of mere men. Let us not profane it, or ourselves, with our most base violence.

  The Chronicles So Far
The Great Battle is, as yet, young. Pigeon, though powerful, moves slowly. Jamie, meanwhile, remains technically human, and so has had to endure many years of maturation before he became ready to fight. Yet even so, the Battle is so mighty that there have been skirmishes.

The Pigeon's strikes, so far, have been minor - some say, merely taunts. Twice has Jamie been bombarded with droppings, and yet, twice missed - albeit narrowly. Indeed, one strike hit a close family member, a move that many believe may have been intentional. A warning? Nobody can say for sure... except Pigeon.

Jamie, so far, has fought but little; indeed, his only direct strike so far is a single passing headbutt on one of Pigeon's birds. Speculation as to why is rife. Some say it is the weakness of youth; some say he is waiting and planning; some say he is merely complacent, overconfident of his own superiority.

And what does the future hold? That, my friends, we can only wait and see.

  The Oldest Battle Of All
Millions of years ago, the universe was barren and lifeless. There was no free will, no sentience. Everthing that had ever been merely... drifted.

And then, there was a spark.

Nobody can be sure quite where life came from, but, at least in our tiny corner of the universe, we know where it ended up. From its humblest origins, it has multiplied and developed and divided into uncountable different forms. And after millenia upon millenia of evolution... it peaked.

Twice.

These twin pinnacles of nature lived peacefully together for a time, but it could not last. Both are all too aware that there is not enough room in this existence for them both. And so, the great feud began. There can be only one victor.

Master versus master. Superbeing versus superbeing.

Jamie versus Pigeon.

Jamie, seen here about to embark on a daring nocturnal strike, is the ideal towards which mankind has been striving since its consciousness first awoke.

Pigeon is the single hive-mind by which all rock-piegeons, commonly thought to be entirely seperate, are connected. Its sole purpose for many years has been to destroy Jamie.
